| Possibly a 2006 BMW M5 ($28K-$35K these days) Maybe a 2006 BMW M6 (most are around $42K and up, but there's one in the SF Bay craigslist for fricking $33K right now---ugh) and in the running, a 2003-2004 Mercedes SL55 (which can be had, if you are patient, for $25K or so) in general I am becoming more of an NA man, myself. Starting to really not like turbos. (even thought BMW is finally going all turbo) I would really like to own the last of the great naturally aspirated V10s ever built for the road, but in a car that costs as much as a low-priced Honda. There's an MWS-TV video in there somewhere. Top Gear just did one about a Merc and a BMW 850ci that was the same price, or less than a Nissan econo-box.
_MWS Disclaimer: Some people have confused myself, Michael Smith of MWS Motorsports with Mike Smith of MS Performance / Jim Wolf Technologies, featured in Mike Kojima's Sport Compact Car magazine Project Z articles. While the comparison is flattering, it is important to make the distinction. Please help spread the word by always try to refer to each "Mike Smith" by their respective companies. |
